She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Shoffner and Mary Jo Shoffner (Stoker); her son-in-law Mark Brister; her granddaughter Johnae Jones; and her brothers, Fred Shoffner and John Shoffner.
She is survived by: her children, Andrea Ellen Brister of Brookhaven, Mississippi and Joseph Thames (Tisha Adams) of Bellefontaine; her grandchildren, Austin Brister (Anna), Kelly Brister (Cooper Brinson), Antonia Adams, Danisha Artis and Cinnamon Artis; and her sister Joni Knox. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
