He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Everett "Dick" Carnes and Madelene M. Carnes (Titus); his former wife Marilyn A. Overly; and his brother-in-law Larry Flora. He is survived by: his children, Bradley Carnes (Jen) of Ridgeway and Courtney Yoder (T. J.) of DeGraff; his grandchildren, Joshua, Preston Carnes, Bentley Flahie, Hayden, Savannah and Mac Yoder; his sister Pamela Flora of West Liberty; his fiancée Nancy Burrey of Bellefontaine; and his mother-in-law Audry Overly of Bellefontaine.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marilyn A. Carnes Nursing Scholarship, c/o Mary Rutan Hospital, 205 Palmer Ave. Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
