He was predeceased by: his parents, George VanOrsdall and Ruth VanOrsdall (High); and his son Steven VanOrsdall. He is survived by: his sister Barbara VanOrsdall; his daughter Beth (VanOrsdall); and his son-in-law Kevin Utley of Oro Valley, Arizona..

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service (610 S Washington St, Castalia, OH 44824). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (203 S Washington St, Castalia, OH 44824).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Castalia Lions Club and the Margaretta Booster Club.
