He was predeceased by: his parents, Kennie Montgomery and Ressie Montgomery (Back); and his brothers, Clayton Montgomery (Elsie), Glen Montgomery and Adrian Montgomery.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Montgomery (Green); his daughters, Pamela Marie Robinson of Bellevue and Melinda Ann Warner (Dennis) of New London; and his siblings, Jason Montgomery (Ruth) of Bellevue, Willie B Montgomery (Nellie) of Morrow, Dallas Montgomery (Pauline) of Salyersville, KY, Lila Gibbs of Cynthiana, KY, Mary Lou Holbrooks (Carljay) of Jackson, KY and Alice Arnett of Salyersville. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
