He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Jr. LaBonte and Evelyn LaBonte (McManaway); and his sisters, Irene "Sandy" LaBonte, Jacqueline Rose-Michael and Gloria Jeanne Holt.
He is survived by: his wife Janice LaBonte (Mortenson); his daughter Dr. Shannon Armer of Pretoria; his granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia Armer; his brother William LaBonte (Thersia) of Leesville, SC; and his sister-in-law Judith Shaw of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
