She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Welchons and Catherine Welchons (Morris); her sisters, Hazel Griffith, Marjorie Sommers, Frieda Lorenze, Mary Alice Gebard, Gertrude Wade and Doris Parsons; her grandson Shane; her great grandchild Clayton; and her grandson-in-law Richie.

She is survived by: her husband Floyd Young; her children, Scott Young (Melissa) and Kim Young; her brother Claude Welchons (Carol); her grandchildren, Christian, Zachary, Carissa, Morgan, Caitlyn, Joshua, Kayla and Allison; and her great grandchildren, Mason, Owen, Roman, Beckett, River, Kyler, Oaklynn, Addison, Ayden, Weston, Bentley, Nolan and Brooklynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Salvation Army in Dorothy's honor.
