He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Kotson and Jennie Guzek Kotson; his son Thomas Kotson; his siblings, Catherine and Joseph Kotson; his brothers-in-law, Amos Karkowski, Ted Corder and John Hupp; and his nephew Michael Karkowski.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph "Jay" Kotson (Amy), Laura Forrelli (Jeff) and Evangeline Kotson (Jaime); his grandchildren, Adam Kotson and Vanessa Forrelli; and his siblings, Linda Karkowski, Sue Barker (Charlie), Paula Valentin (Hiram), Theresa Graves (Kenneth), Mary Ann Corder, Francine Clark (Gary), Anna Hupp, John Kotson (Peggy) and Theodore Kotson (Lisa).
A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (415 37th St, Bellaire, OH 43906). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Toothman Funeral Home (141 S Marietta St, St Clairsville, OH 43950). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 7:30 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Youth Services System, Belmont County Right to Life, or St. John's Catholic Church.
