We announce the death of Barbara Sue Abrams of Belpre, Ohio, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barbara’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Heston Scarberry and Victoria Scarberry (Collins); her husband Larry Stewart Abrams; and her brothers, Heston Scarberry Jr. and Richard Scarberry.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Scarberry (Carissa) of Cambridge, Mary Smith of Belpre, Denise Edwards of Indiana and Amy Mitchell of New Concord; her sister Betty Scarberry of Chillicothe; and her close friend Chester Wilson. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
