He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grace Pickering Carpenter and Joseph Emery Carpenter; his wife Margaret Francis Carpenter; his brothers, Robert and Dana; and his children, Penny (late John) of Vincent, Mary Yost (Jean) of Cutler and Bernard Eugene of Belpre. He was also cherished by Seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dunham Township Volunteer Fire Department.
