She was predeceased by : her parents, William Thomas and Clela May Burton Wigal; her husband William Richard Sams; and her children, Rita "Candy" Schoonover and Roy Sams.
She is survived by : her children, Cynthia "Cindy" Goff (Mike) of Ayden, NC, Denice Foraker (Ron) of Belpre and Rikey Sams (Jackie) of Belpre; and her sisters, Sharon Garrity and Shirley Lehew. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
