Mary Jo Nuzum Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Nuzum of Belpre, Ohio, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Anson Cogar and Iva Lea Cogar (Hosey); her husband William "Red" Milton Nuzum, Jr.; and her siblings, Isaac Anson Cogar Jr., Pauline Cogar, Maxine Moore, Anna Lea Cogar, Kathleen Lloyd and Norma Jean Richardson.
She is survived by: her children, Milt Nuzum III (Mary) of Vincent, Greg Nuzum of Belpre, Suzan Eksi (Ekrem) of Vincent, Anna Henry (John) of Marietta and Elisha Whipkey (David) of Vincent; and her sister Iris Higgins. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home (801 Victor St, Belpre, OH 45714). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the O'Neill Center in Marietta, Ohio.
