He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kubis and Margaret Kubis; and his siblings, Sandy, Jody, Betty and Bob.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Stalzer Kubis; his children, Pamela Sobon (Greg) of Berea, Deborah Dean (Michael) of Lower Salem, Ohio, Richard Kubis Jr. of Medina, Paul of North Carolina and Preston Kubis of North Carolina; his sister Carole Cross of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Brandon, Mack and Britton; and his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Katelynn, Brealyn and Joanna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
