With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel Elbert Wharton of Belpre, Ohio, who passed away on September 2, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Martha Cornelia Wharton (Ronk) and Samuel D Wharton. He is survived by : his wife Patty Wharton (Greathouse); his daughters, Kimberly Bevins (Rick) and Beth Daniell (Greg); his grandchildren, Stephanie Roeckner, Fallon Bevins, Jared Daniell (Ana), Kevin Roeckner (Jordan), Chad Daniell (Elizabeth), Seth Daniell (Meg), Devin Daniell (Brooke), Brooke Cunningham (Tyler), Chelsea Bevins, Taylor Bevins, Allyson Bevins and Adam Bevins (Bethany); and his great grandchildren, Declan, Kaiden, Silas, Shane, Savannah, Caleb, Kaylynn, Ben, Eden, Julia, Alice, Adeline, Corinne, Abram, Conner and Ava.
