She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Brandt and Albert Brandt; her husband Thomas F. Goebel; her children, Cheryl A. Boord (Kelly), Richard T. Goebel (Margaret), Robert M. Goebel (Matthew) and Patricia A. Hritz (Timothy); and her brother Donald (Donny).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Eric Boord (Isabella), Michael Boord (Jeannie), Jon Goebel (Lindsey), Emily Crowder (David) and Dane Hritz (Lexi); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Boord, Meyer, James Goebel, Gwyneth, Polly and Marlowe Crowder.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made in Dorothy Goebel's name to Kemper House (Community West Foundation with this written in the memo line of the check "Memory Care Fund (Kemper House Strongsville).". Donations may also be made to the Berea Historical Society, P.O. Box 173, Berea, Ohio 44017.
