He was predeceased by: his wife Anne (Hause); his parents, John D. Lee and Floy Lee (Powell); and his brothers, Norman, Bill and Wayne.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Daley, Michele Billow (Russell Sherman), Douglas Jr. (Mary) and Victoria "Torry"; his stepson Herb; and his brothers, Julian and Joseph (Starla). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
