He is survived by: his partner Shirley Grimm; his daughter Barbara McElroy; his granddaughter Cheyenne; his son-in-law Ronald D. McElroy of Richmond; his children, Karen Bake and Daniel E. Bake; and his siblings, Sandy Echols of Powhattan Point, Kathy Fox and Rick Bake.
