Rose Marie Bettinger Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Hassen and Hilda Hassen (Meiring); her husband Herbert Bettinger; her daughters, Donna Rose Hofmann and Julia Ann Hastings; and her siblings, Leo Hassen, Jr., Raymond Hassen, William Hassen, Lois Schmitz and Marian Iott.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Hite (Cary) of Wauseon, OH, Hilda Weirauch (Bruce) of Whitehouse, OH and Herbert, Jr. Bettinger (Julie) of North Olmsted, OH; her sons-in-law, Kenneth Hofmann and Tim Hastings; and her grandchildren, Bruce Hite (Laurie), Jennifer Ghesquiere (George), Carrie Lynn (Dave Price), Erik Hofmann (Christy), Debi Welch (Jason), Megan Nygren (Greg), Scott Nelson (Jamie), Nichole Griepentrog (Adora), Joel Weirauch (Becky), Kevin Weirauch (Alexa), Shannon Bettinger and Cara Bettinger. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home - Metamora (413 E Main St, Metamora, OH 43540). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (2649 US-20, Swanton, OH 43558).
