He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Leyes and Margaret Leyes (Smith); his siblings, Catherine, Ed, Carolyn and Frank Leyes; and his stepson Jeremy Schroeder.

He is survived by: his wife Anita J. Leyes (Barrett); his stepson Jacob (Stephanie Schroeder); his grandsons, Dean and Harvey Schroeder; his brother Matt (Joyce Leyes); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Leyes, Sonia Darst, Sandy Smith and Bob (Lisa Barrett). He is also survived by his extended family & many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Paul to either the Vandalia or Tipp City Food Bank or to Heartland Hospice.
