He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl R. Atkinson and Martha E. Grier Atkinson. He is survived by: his children, Alan Atkinson (Ashley) of Worthington and Grace Nelson (Derrick) of Dry Fork, WV; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Nettie, Leland, Anna and Olivia.
