He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Barnes and Flora Barnes; and his siblings, Robert Barnes, Glysta Barnes, Gladys Barnes and Eunice Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Barnes; his children, Kathleen Abbott (David) and Donald Barnes (Denise); his grandchildren, Michelle Abbott, Carolyn Abbott and Leslie Emig (Adam); his stepgrandsons, Wilburn Witt (Alissa), Luther Witt and Benjamin Witt (Brandy); his great grandchild Ellie Rae Emig; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Alex, Dominique, Harmony, Lacy, Antonio, Vincent, Autumn, Amber, Braden, Cayden, Jamie, Cheyenne and Colton.
