He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Smith; and his sister Laura Rush. He is survived by: his son Maksymilian Jozef Smith; his wife Bonnie Lynn (Brudzinski); his mother Carolyn Barnes Smith; and his siblings, Victoria Smith (Bruce), Scott Smith (Joan) and Chad Smith (Angel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
