He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ayers and Mary Ayers (Kern) of Cherry Fork, Ohio.; and his wife Daisy Ruth Ayers (Cooper). He is survived by: his granddaughters, Madison Ayers and Hayley Ayers; Hansford Ayers (Sharon) of Otway, OH, Sherry Horton (John) of Oak Hill, OH, James Ayers (Andrea) of Blue Creek, OH, Jeff Ayers (Anita) of West Union, OH and Duane Ayers (Sherry) of Blue Creek, OH. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at the West Union Cemetery.
