He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Overmyer and Orpha Overmyer (Shaw); and his wife Joanne Hawkins Overmyer. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Pottenger (Rick) of Concord Township and Don Overmyer II (Jose Genis) of Palm Springs, California; his grandchildren, Matthew Pottenger (Stacie) of Savannah and Elizabeth Anspach (Jonathan) of Myersville; and his great grandchild Flora Joanne Anspach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund at Bluffton First Methodist Church.
