She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Basinger and Ella Basinger (Badertscher); her husband Maurice Garmatter; her children-in-law, Victoria Garmatter and Fred Garrett; and her siblings, Wallace Basinger, Nettie Mae Ferrall, Odula Greenawalt, Helen Scoles, Harold Basinger, Josephine Firestine, Ralph Basinger, Earl Basinger, Clifford Basinger and Mark Basinger.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Garmatter (Cynthia) of Gilboa, Robert Garmatter (Rosanne) of Lima, Greg Garmatter (Sandra) of Omaha, Julie Steiner (Ron) of Lima and Amy Garrett of Louise, Texas; her grandchildren, Melissa Richards (Jeff), Morgan Rood (Chris), Jennifer Garmatter, Jordan Garmatter, Jason Garmatter, Jessica Geren (Casey), Joel Steiner (Krista), Joshua Steiner (Heidi), Ana Garrett and Kate Garrett; and her sisters, Elnora Stratton (Jim) of Bluffton and Mary Lou Emans (Bob) of Luckey, Ohio.. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
