He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dye and Peach Dye (Wireman); his wife Cynthia Bucher Dye; his grandson Michael; and his sister Doris Dye.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Dye (Kari) of Marysville and Amy McKee (Brad) of Mount Cory; his grandchildren, Connor, Austin, Adilyne, Maia, Leo and Lainey; and his siblings, James Dye (Deborah), Mike Dye (Pam), Mickey Dye (Lisa), Barbara Collier (Tom) and Melissa Woodruff. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
