We bid farewell to John R. Koontz (Bluffton, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 8, 2025 at the age of 83. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland Koontz and Mary "Mildred" Koontz (Krautter); and his children, Tammy Carter and Brad Koontz. He is survived by: his wife Sue Koontz of Bluffton; his sons, Alan Koontz (Holly) of Napoleon and Brian Koontz (Missy) of Findlay; his granddaughters, Stephanie Carter, Ashley Koontz and Brooklyn Koontz; his great grandchild Phoenix Bradlee; and his siblings, Dan Koontz (Nina) of Bluffton and Martha Hinegardner (Dick) of Lima.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Cory Church of Faith Mount Cory, OH (300 N Main St, Mt Cory, OH 45868). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice and Mt. Cory Church of Faith.
