She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Jean and Jimmy Hooker; and her son Jeremy. She is survived by: her son Joshua Speer; her daughter-in-law Cat; her grandchildren, Samantha, Jeremy and Steven; and her brother James Hooker. She is also survived by her family, friends.

A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bolivar United Methodist Church (6 Poplar Street, Bolivar, OH 44612). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
