She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Esser and Rose Esser (Bey); and her brother Kenneth Esser. She is survived by: her siblings, Larry (Virginia Esser), Steve (Diane Esser), Anna, Karen (Steve Zimmerman), Sandy (Curt Wells), Jeannie (Ron Bergman), Doug (Jenny Esser), Sidney, Randy (Amy Esser) and John Esser; and her aunt Agnes Luthman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
