It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca J. Wacker of Botkins, Ohio, born in Sidney, Ohio, who passed away on June 12, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her mother Marie Ike (Develvis); her former life partner James Joseph Fitzgerald Jr.; and her siblings, John Ike and Edna Packman (Clifford). She is survived by : her children, Janell Welker (Joe), James Fitzgerald III (Dulce) and Jennie Sale (Steve); her stepchildren, Deborah Wacker, Barry Wacker (Nancy), Susan Nordin (Jack) and Charles Wacker (Jeanne); her grandchildren, Joseph Welker (Jessica), Jerry Welker (Jessica), Nicholas Welker, Charlotte Winters, James Fitzgerald IV (Veronica), Samantha Fitzgerald, Jay Frazier (Katya), Cody Roesser and Gary Roesser (Brittney); her sisters, Jean Swob (Robert), Lelia McKibben, Irene Wilson (Ron) and Annabelle Brown (Billie); and her sister-in-law Priscilla Ike. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to New Hope United Methodist Church or to the Nick Welker Scholarship Fund benefiting local high school seniors.
