He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Deffenbaugh and Luella Deffenbaugh (Foss); his daughter Jill Gallagher; and his grandsons, Michael Burket, Alex Burket and Dustin Deffenbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Mercer; his children, Lynn Burket of Lewis Center, Ronald Deffenbaugh (Amy) of Northglenn, Kathy Lerch of Bowling Green and Craig Deffenbaugh of Wayne; his sisters, Velma Greene and Eileen Smith; his grandchildren, Jonathan Deffenbaugh, Christina Deffenbaugh, Jared Lerch (Colleen), Nathan Lerch (Sara), Melissa Calpin (Bill), Curtis Deffenbaugh (Kristen Allen), Erin Walentowski (Corey) and Shawna Gallagher; and his great grandchildren, Adelina, Cooper, Lucy, Elijah, Elle, Ethan, Hayden, Isabella, Jude and Isaiah.
