He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Hammett and Frances Hammett (Byrne). He is survived by : his children, Edwin B. Hammett (Lauren) of Charlotte and Megan Robinson (Jim) of Cincinnati; his brothers, Rob Hammett (Mary) and Tom Hammett; and his grandchildren, Ryan Robinson, Alex Robinson and Shea Robinson.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Dunn Funeral Home- Bowling Green Chapel (408 W Wooster St, Bowling Green, OH 43402). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Black Swamp Conservancy or the charity of donor's choice.
