He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bechstein and Jesse Bechstein (Pultz); his granddaughter Natasha Malkin; and his siblings, Estella Chamberlain, John Bechstein, Newton Bechstein, Perry Bechstein, Ira Bechstein, Ivan Bechstein, Carl Bechstein, George Bechstein, Emma Abke, Ida Mae Roe, Helen Wilhelm and Raymond Bechstein.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hebler; his children, Kathleen Malkin (Victor) of Arizona, Mark Bechstein of Bowling Green, Stephanie Siemer (Bob) of Indiana and Matt Bechstein (Gary) of Pemberville; his grandchildren, Aaron Malkin of Arizona, Jacob Malkin of Arizona, Lee Ann Siemer, Lucas Siemer of Indiana, Lauren Bechstein and Shelby Bechstein of Bowling Green; and his great grandchildren, Tysen Gibson, Taytum Gibson and Nadia Parsons of Bowling Green.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Zion Lutheran Church or Wood County Committee on Aging.
