As Robert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Robert leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Matthews and Caroline Showman Matthews; and his daughter Mary Ann. He is survived by: his wife Fran (Fran); his children, Lisa, Tom (Tom) and Christina; his granddaughter Natalie; and his brother James Matthews (Pat). He is also survived by many other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.
