He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert F. McKenzie and Shirley D. McKenzie; his brothers, Maurice and Gregory J. McKenzie; and his uncles, George Jackson and Earl.

He is survived by : his children, Braiden E. Thompson-White, Alexis D. Thompson-White, Grayson E. Thompson-White and Olivia G. Thompson-White; his stepmother Migdalia McKenzie; his half-brother Gion McKenzie (Sharon); his nephew Gion Dejoir McKenzie; his niece Dalia Amour McKenzie; his stepbrother Claudino Escalara III; his nephew Christian; and his aunts, Ina Piette Friesel (Jim) of California, Katie Davis of Cleveland, Joyce Beckrum of California and Sandra Gilbert of Macedonia.

Donations in Kevin's memory can be made to the American Transplant Foundation or to the family to help with funeral expenses.
