He was predeceased by : his parents, Alden Miller and Peggy Miller; and his nephew Douglas Artista. He is survived by : his girlfriend Maria Kuczmarski; his siblings, Ken Miller (Patty) of Girard and Jan Artista (Ernie) of Twinsburg; his nieces and nephews, Jeannette, Angela, Kevin, Dan, Allie, Greta and Carson; and his caregiver Bob.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bob's honor to the ALS Foundation.

Buckeye Bob wrote a sympathy message

“I’ve known Bob for many years, and particularly enjoyed working with him on NASA’s High Speed Civil Transport program. We had many conversations in his office or in the car on the way to meetings in Cincinnati. He worked non-stop, had an unparalleled thirst for knowledge and was full of ideas that he would put to paper and then to test. I appreciated his sense of humor, often disguised by his intellect. I will always remember him.”
