She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Spragg and Mary "Mame" Spragg (Yost); her husband Elton Detwiler; and her siblings, Gerald (Esther), Geraldine (Carl) and Harold (Karen).

She is survived by: her stepdaughter Jo Ann Shahan; her stepgranddaughter Ruth Shahan-Beery (Todd); her children, Miranda, Addison, Karissa, Nikolas, Jennifer Young (Jim), Mark Shahan (Heather) and Aaron Shahan (Jeanie); her stepdaughter Pam Hureau; her niece Holly Cattrell (Joe); her friend Mary Lou Wagner; and her caregiver Julie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital City Hospice, Carroll Place Assisted Living, or Bremen Community Methodist Church.
