He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Schmeltzer (Clark); his parents, Bernard "Bill" Schmeltzer and Cecilia Schmeltzer; his siblings, Earl, David Schmeltzer and Diane Schmeltzer; and his children, Robert Schmeltzer and Mary Mitchel.
He is survived by: his children, Shelia Cluse (Michael), Donna Robinette (Jerry), Theresa Morris (Steve) and Scott Schmeltzer (Melissa); and his sisters, Shirley Harwood (Bill), Mary Green (Pat), Kathleen Shonk (Jack), Hilda Wagner and Fran Woofter (Dave). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and one great- great grandson.
