He is survived by: his wife Lauri Adkins; his son Robert Adkins Jr. (Emily); his stepchildren, Robert Fleming Jr. and Katie Chandler (Tre'Von); his grandchildren, Jackson, Nicholas II, Nathan, Russell Jr., Elizabeth, Tre'Lynn, Tre'Von, Jr. and Tae'Lynn; his in-laws, Ray and LaVonne Heitger; his uncle Perry Swan; his cousin Holly Griffin; and his pets, Margaret and Olive.
