He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schrodes and Leatha Hale Schrodes (Rouse); his sons, Ricky Lee and Jeffery Lee Hale; and his siblings, Anna Saunders, Dolores Stan, Paul and Richard Hale.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Hale (Palmer); his daughter Debbie Lee Hale-Butler of Columbus; his granddaughters, Samantha Banks (Anthony) of Galloway, Jessica Carpenter (Cory) of Hilliard and Dianne Butler of Columbus; and his great grandchildren, Lyric, River, Aiden and Markell.
