He is survived by: his wife Penny Jo Nichols Tipton; his children, Jason Tipton and Melissa Dombeck (Jim); his stepdaughter Nicole Sampson; his brother John Alan "Al" Tipton; his grandchildren, Joshua Tipton and Niko Sampson; and his great grandchildren, Malachi and Benjamin Tipton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saints Club, Thoburn United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
