He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl C. "Buck" Polen and Hilda G. Polen (Pasco); and his siblings, Walter "Sparky" Polen, James Polen and Mary Lutz.
He is survived by: his close friend Nina Linn of Cadiz, OH; his children, Richard Polen, Jr. of Brilliant, OH and Lisa Bell (Greg) of Mingo Junction, OH; his sisters, Gracie Devore of Brilliant, OH and Margie Polen of Mingo Junction, OH; his grandchildren, MacKenzie Polen, Arika Polen, Brittany Harkins (Brandon) and Anthony Sterling; and his great grandchildren, Holden, Rowan and Gavin Harkins.
