He was predeceased by : his wife Margaret; his siblings, Clarence Carter (Alice) and Betty Hahn (Harold); and his grandson Benjamin. He is survived by : his children, Tim Carter (Linda), Pat Brooks, Diana Rusnak (Bill) and Michael Scaravelli (Carrie); and his grandchildren, Alex (Iulianna), Chloe Carter-Kozma Kozma (Nick), Emily, Danielle (Kara), David, Brandy, Christopher, Laura (Thomas) and Mikey (Alexis).
