He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his son Phillip; and his siblings, Charles (Bud), Jean Nawal, Dorothy Wagner, Helen Marucek, Margaret Netzel and Sue Wisniewski.

He is survived by: his children, Nancy Brandes (Tim), William Jr. (Iris), Charles and DeAnn Barrett; and his grandchildren, Melanie (Matthew), Kevin, William III, Robyn, Deana (Joe), Eric (Jessica), Eva, Richard, Mary, Dariana and Marilyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to VFW Post 9871, 6805 Lear Nagle Road North Ridgeville, OH 44039.
