Becky Dill Obituary

Rebecca A Dill, 69, of Brookville Ohio, beloved wife, mother and community servant, passed from this world on March 8th, 2026, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Becky will be remembered by generations of Brookvillians as the Westbrook Elementary "Computer lady", working in the computer lab from its inception until her retirement in 2016. She volunteered with both the local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and worked for many years as a fitness instructor at the Vandalia Recreation Center.

A life-long crafter and creator, she often used her skills for the benefit of others in need, making and donating beanies to St. Brigid's Path in Kettering, and giving away hundreds of gnomes and miniature Christmas trees to patients and staff at her infusion center. Recognized as a Dayton Daily News Community Gem, she made and gave away thousands of masks with donated materials during the recent Covid pandemic.

Born on February 26th, 1957 to Lee and Carolyn Allen of Vandalia, Ohio. She graduated Vandalia Butler High School in 1975, and met her husband Dave while working at Best Products on Salem Avenue. They married in 1977 at St John's church in Vandalia, making their home in Dave's hometown of Brookville.

Survived by her husband of 48 years, David Dill; son and daughter-in-law Mike Dill and Karianne Combs of Kettering, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law Emily (Dill) and Brian Kaucher of Camden, Ohio; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Stephen Dill and Whitney Lesher; granddaughter Hannah Kaucher; and Sister Debby Sollenberger of Mason Ohio.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
