In loving memory of Blaine K Goin of Brookville, Ohio, who departed this world on July 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Blaine leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Goin and Marie Goin (Maddox); his wife Lydia Goin (Sander); his brothers, Donald Eugene, Wayne and Richard; and his in-laws, Crystal and Friedel.

He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Cappel (Uwe) of Germany and Debbie Wynk (Jeff) of Miamisburg; his grandchildren, Blaine, Drew Wynk, Michelle Weitor and Kevin Cappel; his great grandchild Luca; his brother Dane; his in-laws, Gerd, Gertrude and Ulla; and his sibling's children, Marie, Janet, Bob, Jimmy, Mike, Doug and Andrea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews in Germany; many friends.

A memorial service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home (950 Albert Rd, Brookville, OH 45309).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in Blaine's name.

“I will miss hearing stories about my brother Jim, my dad and other family from cousins Blaine and Dane. I appreciated being able to visit Blaine and Lydia in their beautiful home in Germany several years ago, and visiting with Blaine after he returned to Ohio a few years ago. Condolences to his family, Blaine will be deeply missed but never forgotten.”

“Blaine was like a brother to me and will be greatly missed. We worked together doing simulations and traveled to many countries. I fondly remember training soldiers in Poland, Macedonia, and of course Germany. After I retired, I would visit my daughter who was stationed in Germany and would have coffee with Blaine several times a week while there. Like old soldiers, we would tell the same stories over and over and then laugh. He was a great man and I shall miss him. Gene Metcalf”
