He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Mattis Cox; his parents, Ira Cox and Cora Cox; his son Dean Cox; and his siblings, Sylvan, Ruth Cain, Elsie Pitsinger, Mary Rowe and Richard Cox.
He is survived by: his sons, Lary Cox (Kay) and Gary Cox (Charlene); his grandchildren, Casey, Jennifer, Melissa, Elizabeth, Lee, Ashley and Mariah; and his brother Billy Cox. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
