It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeffery SCOTT Hakes of Brunswick, Ohio, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hakes and Virginia Hakes (Chaffee); his sister Kathleen Blout; his stepfather Richard Lehman; and his stepbrother Russel Lehman.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Woodring); his children, Julie Walk (John) of Columbus, Jessica Soflkiancs (Kevin) of Olmsted Township and Joshua Hakes (Ashlie) of Penfield Township; his grandchildren, Virginia, Xavier, Kayden, Kaleb, Cayden and Bryce; and his sisters, Jana Hakes (Becky) and Ellen Douglas (Al).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carlson Funeral Homes - Brunswick (1642 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A procession will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at the Penfield Township Cemetery.
