He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Wasniak (Daniel), J. Christopher Schmidt (Jenna) and Jonathan Schmidt (Sara); his grandchildren, Nathan, Bradley, Delaney, Benjamin and Felicia; and his brothers, Gregory Schmidt (Christine) and Robert Schmidt (Loretta).
