He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; his parents, Louis and Hazel; his siblings, Carl Sathre (Jean), Sylvia Eckhardt (Richard), Louise Cook (Clarence) and Harold Sathre; his stepchildren, Theresa "Terry" Jesenovic and Keith Anderson; his stepgranddaughter Tara Jesenovic; and his nephew Matthew Sathre.

He is survived by: his brothers, Leroy and Ronald Sathre. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
