She was predeceased by: her father Oscar Channel; her husband Carmon Grissom, Sr.; and her brothers, Paul, Orval and Garfield.

She is survived by: her children, Carmon Grissom, Jr., Loren Grissom (Misty) and Daniel Grissom (Cindy); her grandchildren, Paige, Matthew, Nicholas and Jeremiah; and her sister Acena Shelton.
